Signature Appliance (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this limited lifetime warranty (the “Warranty”) on parts installed by Signature Appliance in connection with our professional installation services for appliances, including but not limited to garbage disposals, dishwashers, and similar products (“Installed Parts”).
Subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations set forth herein, we warrant to the original purchaser (“Customer”) that the Installed Parts will be free from defects in materials and workmanship attributable to our installation for the lifetime of the original purchaser, provided the product remains in the original installation location and is owned by the original purchaser. This Warranty applies only to the parts we installed and covers replacement of defective Installed Parts at no charge for the part itself (labor, shipping, diagnostics, or other costs are not covered unless separately agreed in writing).
This is a limited warranty and is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by Signature Appliance with respect to the Installed Parts. We disclaim, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or any other warranty arising by operation of law, course of dealing, course of performance, usage of trade, or otherwise.
Exclusions and Limitations – What This Warranty Does NOT Cover
This Warranty does not apply and provides no coverage in the event of any of the following:
- Damage, failure, or defects caused by acts of God, including but not limited to fire, flood, lightning, earthquake, windstorm, hail, tornado, hurricane, or other natural disasters.
- Infestation or damage by insects, pests, bugs, rodents, roaches, or any other vermin or animals.
- Customer tampering, misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, improper use, improper maintenance, failure to follow manufacturer or installation instructions, unauthorized modification, alteration, or repair by anyone other than Signature Appliance or its authorized representatives.
- Damage resulting from terrorism, vandalism, theft, sabotage, war, riot, civil commotion, or intentional acts.
- Situations where the appliance or Installed Part is deemed not economically worthwhile or cost-effective to repair (in our reasonable discretion), including but not limited to when the cost of repair exceeds the value of the unit, the part is obsolete, or replacement parts are no longer reasonably available through normal commercial channels.
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, rust, corrosion, or deterioration due to environmental conditions.
- Damage caused by improper voltage, inadequate electrical or plumbing supply, power surges, water quality issues, or other external factors beyond our control.
- Consequential, incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, property damage, personal injury, or any other losses arising from or related to the Installed Parts or this Warranty.
Additional Terms
- This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser at the original installation address in New Berlin, Wisconsin, or surrounding areas serviced by Signature Appliance.
- To make a claim under this Warranty, the Customer must provide proof of purchase and installation by Signature Appliance, notify us in writing within a reasonable time after discovery of the defect (and no later than 30 days), and make the appliance/Installed Parts available for inspection and repair/replacement at our discretion.
- We reserve the right to repair, replace, or refund (at our option) any defective Installed Part. Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent.
- This Warranty is void if the product is moved, reinstalled by anyone other than Signature Appliance without our prior written approval, or if any serial numbers/labels are removed or altered.
- This Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under this Warranty shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Waukesha County, Wisconsin.
Important Notice: This Warranty does not cover the appliance/unit itself (which is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty only), nor does it extend to any manufacturer’s defects, recalls, or other issues unrelated to our installation of the parts.
Signature Appliance makes no other representations or warranties beyond those expressly stated herein. By accepting installation services, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
